However I still do think that people working in the medical treatment field, must be completely derived of any ability to connect to other human beings and have any kind of emphatic skills because they find hurtful procedures interesting and do not themselves feel the fears some people have towards doctors and certainly dont read peoples fears and pains which becomes something they distance themselves for and really dont care about. One of my bst friends told me how she learned to be indifferent to peoples fear when she trained her iv canula skills. She just did not care and found that beneficial as she could concentrate on doing her task and not try to address any form of comfort or sympathetic feelings the patient might need and which she didn't think was any of her concern. As her carelessness grew and she learned more and more to become indifferent to the pain she may cause, she also started increase her "God-ego" and her every defense was that she saved lifes, helped people, cured people etc with the procedures that the patient might find unpleasant and that anyone not acknowledging this as way superior (and the fear/pain of patients way inferior or simply irrelevant). We're no longer friends and I hope she chose a specialty where no patient gets to feel her lack of care for the situation they're in and how they feel. Just like I wish for any doctor or medical student i come across. Sadly though, they almost all end up having the power to not care about patients they treat and whichever pain those patients might feel. I myself only lasted 3 semestres in medical school before hating the whole environment and mind set of the place and the students its spit out on the other side, so I ran out the buildings and 1 semester later entered the opposite building for vet students. And I do care about the dogs afraid of their vaccines and I do try and make it less traumatic. Ive afterwards done social scientific research for 4 months at a hospital ward a few years later (not a self chosen project) and it was even worse. Those students, younger doctors and even the more mature doctors were simply horrific. Its prestige, subjectification, power, career, and so forth. Simply not people you would want to have around people. There's a reason its been proven that there are more psychopaths in the hospital doctor staffs than in CEO stairs and Wall Street. Then ask yourself, why didn't he tell you that there's at least 4 blood-based lab tests (blood taken from arm) that do not include you stripping down naked for his/her pleasure? There's also the Delphi-Screener which you can do at home. There was the Trovagene urine test also done at home---but this was d/c for lack of interest b/c it was never publicized. Trovagene was 93% accurate on HPV. There are antivirals successfully tested in Africa on AIDS patients that not only killed HPV but also killed CC w/o painful cryosurgery, the amputations LEEP and Cold Knife (which are biopsies not treatments), and plus you would never have the painful colposcopy. Your cervix is full of nerves so doc is lying if he/she claims the pain is imaginary, or just a few seconds etc. IF you have pap scrape and you do have HPV, that procedure will churn the virus deeply into your tissues where you cannot fight it off on your own like so many of us do. Why rush into treatment when it takes 4 years for anything to develop? Get Full Informed Consent. Take your husband/boyfriend with you. Have them watch over doc's shoulder.
